Global market leaders in fun indoor climbing, Clip ‘n Climb, approached us with the task of improving their existing online booking system. The system they were previously relying on appeared to be dated and struggled to handle the pressures of a growing multi-centre business that takes tens of thousands of enquiries and reservations each month. We worked closely with the team at Clip ‘n Climb to identify exactly what new features needed to be introduced to benefit both the team and their customers during the booking process, as well as reestablishing their strong brand identity throughout.
We collaboratively decided that the best solution was to build them a brand new, bespoke booking system that would allow all Clip ‘n Climb centres to manage session capacities and take bookings online in the same way. The system needed to be cohesive, able to handle the expected high-volume of visitors and also be optimised for mobile devices, enhancing the customer user-experience. It also needed to be stable enough so that other centres wouldn’t suffer if one centre’s booking system was down.
The Laravel-built booking system takes payments through WorldPay and Stripe using a secure payment gateway, ensuring all customer data is protected throughout the payment process. The system enables day to day operations to run much more smoothly, being able to detect and resolve errors faster and more efficiently than before without the risk of downtime or losing customers throughout the process. The new streamlined user experience has improved the entire booking process from start to finish, avoiding any unnecessary customer confusion or frustration and enhancing both the customers and the centres sales experience.
The new system not only helps each centre to manage their business more efficiently, it also amplifies Clip ‘n Climb’s marketing and global offering as a whole, reinforcing their prominent place in the market online, as it is offline.
As a result, all 20 centres using the new system are enjoying more flexibility in their businesses and as a whole are experiencing a 25% increase in booking conversion rates. It’s successfully supported over 1.2 million visitors since its launch in February and with an average order of £32.00 per booking, the new system has equated to over £4.8 million through online bookings alone. The international website has also welcomed a 30% increase in global interest and enquires.
